Day 1

Santiago to Coquimbo - Stargazing in Collawara Observatory

Your journey begins with your arrival at Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport in Santiago, Chile. Upon arrival, we will greet you and board a flight to Coquimbo, a northern coastal city. After checking in at our beautiful hotel, take some time to refresh and relax before enjoying a hearty lunch.
As the sun begins to set, we will visit the Collowara Observatory, one of Chile’s most renowned astronomical centers. Located near the mining town of Andacollo, this observatory offers breathtaking 360° panoramic views of the sky. Before arriving, we will make a brief stop at the Basilica of Andacollo, a stunning wooden church, and allow time for photos and a quick snack.
At the observatory, we will start with an introductory talk and video, followed by an unforgettable stargazing experience through high-powered telescopes, guided by an astronomy expert. We will also visit the observatory’s rotating dome, where you can marvel at the cosmos through an advanced electronic telescope.

Day 2

Pisco Distillery and cultural wonders

After breakfast, our driver will take us east of La Serena, exploring the most fascinating sites of Valle del Elqui. Our first stop will be the Puclaro Reservoir, where you’ll learn about the history of the Gualliguaica people while taking in stunning views of this massive water reserve.
Next, enjoy a delightful lunch before heading to a traditional pisquera, where you’ll witness firsthand the meticulous process of crafting Chile’s famous pisco—from vine to bottle. Enjoy a guided tasting session that will introduce you to the different varieties and flavors of Chile’s iconic spirit.
In the afternoon, we will explore Montegrande, home to the Gabriela Mistral School Museum, where the Nobel Prize-winning poet once lived and taught. We will then continue to Pisco Elqui, a charming town where you can visit the main square, admire the historic Nuestra Señora del Rosario Church, and browse local craft shops.
Our final stop will be Vicuña, Gabriela Mistral’s birthplace, where you’ll have time to explore the town square, enjoy local crafts, and soak in the poetic heritage of this enchanting valley. We will then return to La Serena and relax before dinner.

Day 3

Valle del Elqui - Cultural charm and brewery experience

Explore the rich cultural heritage of La Serena and Coquimbo on this captivating city tour. Begin in La Serena with visits to the main square, the historic downtown, and the vibrant La Recova market. Stroll through the serene Japanese Park before passing the iconic Monumental Lighthouse, a national monument. Continue along Avenida del Mar, stopping for photos and to marvel at the stunning ocean views. Journey to Coquimbo to explore the charming Barrio Inglés (English Quarter) and ascend El Vigía Hill to witness the impressive Cruz del Tercer Milenio, an iconic monument offering breathtaking panoramic views of the region.
We head back to our hotel for an early dinner, followed by a visit to Refugio El Molle’s brewery, where artisanal beer is crafted using pure waters from the Molle slope and unique recipes infused with fruits, nuts, and locally harvested plants. This natural sanctuary of the Elqui Valley, powered by a photovoltaic plant, provides the perfect environment for brewing. Day 4

Valle del Elqui - Boat adventure and wildlife encounter

After an early breakfast, we set off on an exciting boat excursion from Punta de Choros Cove to the breathtaking Humboldt Penguin National Reserve.
Our first stop is Choros Island, where from the boat, you will observe an incredible array of bird species, including the Humboldt penguin, cormorants, and pelicans. If we’re lucky, we might even spot bottlenose dolphins swimming nearby!
Next, we’ll visit Damas Island, known for its pristine white sand beaches and crystal-clear waters. Take in the serenity of this untouched paradise before boarding the boat back to La Serena for lunch. After some leisure time at the hotel, we will gather for a farewell dinner, celebrating our incredible journey together.

Day 5

Valle del Elqui to Santiago - Morning yoga and departure

Our final day begins with a sunrise yoga session, allowing you to soak in the tranquility of Valle del Elqui one last time. After breakfast, enjoy the serene surroundings of our retreat before meeting our driver for a smooth transfer to the airport.
With memories of breathtaking landscapes, starlit skies, and cultural discoveries, we bid farewell—Hasta Pronto!

Day 1

Stargazing upon arrival to Chile

Arrive in Santiago, Chile. Meet and greed at the airport and fly off to the Northern city of Coquimbo. Check in at our beautiful hotel to refresh and rest after a hearty lunch. Visit Collawara Observatory from sunset to midnight to experience world-class stargazing.

Day 2

La Serena and Coquimbo city tour

In La Serena, you will visit the main square, the historic Downtown of the city, and the La Recova market. Then, you will go to the Japanese Park, before passing in front of the Monumental Lighthouse, declared a national monument. In Coquimbo, you will visit the Barrio Inglés (English Quarter) and climb El Vigía Hill, where the Cruz del Tercer Milenio.

Day 3

Valle del Elqui scenery and Pisco Distillery tour

Just outside the city, this stunning valley offers pisco distillery tours, breathtaking mountain. We visit attractions such as, Montegrande, Pisco Elqui and Vicuña. Finally, Embalse Puclaro, where we will learn more about the history of the Gualliguaica people.

Day 4

Isla Damas and Humboldt Penguin National Reserve

We embark on a boat tour to this protected island, home to diverse marine wildlife, including penguins, dolphins, and sea lions, along with pristine beaches and crystal-clear waters.

Relax and unwind. Hasta pronto!
