Ease into the day with a leisurely breakfast followed by time to explore downtown Napa. From vintage bookstores and antique markets to the culinary delights of Oxbow Public Market, this is Napa’s creative side. Make sure to spend time at the Napa Valley Olive Oil Company.
Lunch at RH Yountville Restaurant, a five-building compound located in the heart of Napa Valley. An integration of food, wine, art and design, the restaurant features timeless classics as well as a selection of wines from esteemed vintners in the U.S and Europe. RH Yountville also features a two-story wine vault defined by rough-cut fieldstone walls, a 24-foot cedar ceiling, luxe lounge seating and a monumental limestone bar. Guests dine in the indoor/outdoor space amidst trickling fountains, heritage olive trees and glimmering chandeliers. We visit the close by Napa Museum and Veteran’s Park or Yountville Park. The heritage museum features regional art, science and history exhibitions and is open until 4pm while the park is a great option for a walk.
Afternoon winetasting at either; Chateau Montelena, Caymus or Robert Mondavi.
Chateau Montelena is one of the most historically important Estates; most famous for winning the white wine section of the historic “Judgement of Paris” wine competition (1976). This puts you in Calistoga which is an old western type of town.
Caymus Winery owned by Wagner Family. Wagner and his late parents opened Caymus in 1972, today still remains 100% family-owned and run.
Robert Mondavi Winery is located at downtown Napa at the historic Borreo building. Here we explore Napa Valley through The Estates Collection, and we taste 4 wines while relaxing on Arch & Tower's outdoor terrace or indoors overlooking downtown Napa.
Accomodation: Milliken Greek Inn.
